Web & Sheet Fed Press Feeder

To assist the Press Operator in the operation of the press to ensure acceptable quality at maximum productivity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Monitors pH and conductivity of fountain solution on presses
  • Ensure work produced exceeds quality guidelines
  • Fully understand and support company’s quality system
  • Ensures all production specifications are met
  • Ensure paper is properly loaded and prepared on all presses to eliminate downtime
  • Ensures skids are properly marked for next operation prior to leaving the pressroom

Conscientious Supply Usage

  • Use raw materials in a cost-effective manner aimed at reducing chemical/supply usage.
  • Assist Press Operator in defining and addressing areas of high waste.
  • Ensure water, rags and press chemicals are available for presses to ensure continuous operation.
  • Empty soiled rag containers daily.
  • Empty waste ink and chemical containers daily. Ensure that waste containment area is maintained and kept clean.
  • Notify safety coordinator when chemical barrels are approaching full level.
  • Ensure that all plates, stock, ink and proofs for the next job are at the press before previous job is completed to ensure quick start-up and minimal down time.


  • Ensure process project goals are met for make ready and run speeds.
  • Ensure equipment is operating though shift change and lunch breaks.
  • Provide feedback to Press Operator on areas of production concern.
  • Provide backup and support to other presses in the event of the assigned feeder’s absence.


  • Performs preventative maintenance on press such as lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning and installation of rollers, and accurately record all maintenance performed in maintenance log.
  • Work with Press Operator and maintenance department to ensure maintenance is performed in an effective timely manner.
  • Maintains and reads Material Safety Date Sheets. Sees to proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
  • Report all safety concerns to Press Operator.
  • Assists in cleaning up and keeping immediate work area neat and orderly.


  • Accurately record all production data in Real Time system on job tickets, load slips, ect.
  • Ensure manufacturing area is neat, clean and organized.
  • Perform necessary paperwork such as time sheets, code 2’s and vacation sheets in a timely manner.

Other Duties

  • Problem solving
  • Do regular maintenance and record that in the log book
  • Understand, support and comply with company rules and polices
  • Report and unsafe conditions to the supervisor
  • Be aware of and comply with all lock out tag out procedures for your machine
  • Write and record work orders as necessary
  • Special projects as assigned

  • Accurately detail issues to Press Operator for resolution


  • High school diploma or equivalent. Graphic arts and/or Technical School background beneficial
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good communication skills

  • Frequent long hours, 12 hour days
  • Ability to lift 60lbs. on a regular basis
  • Willing to work all shifts

Bindery Helper

As a Bindery Helper, you will inspect books, signatures, covers and bindery components for quality. You will also pack boxes and complete the necessary paperwork to record labor, materials and product counts, as well as feeding pockets into the binder. You will need to skid pack according to the customers specifications, along with running the shrink wrap machine and other machines as assigned.

  • Ensure work produced exceeds quality guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Materials Handler – Warehouse

The Materials Handler maintains accurate inventory of all paper stock in the warehouse. The Materials Handler ensures the paper stock is pulled according to cut-sheet specifications and in conjunction with the pressroom schedule.

*Full-time position is available: 12 hour shift (7pm – 7am)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure paper stock is pulled according to customer specifications – meeting the needs of the pressroom schedule
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all paper stock
  • Ensure all paper stock is received and available for continuous press operation
  • Cover all open paper skids to prevent spoilage
  • Maintain all designated vehicles and equipment
  • Ensure inventory items in warehouse are maintained
  • Ensure no product is damaged in warehouse


  • High school diploma/equivalent
  • Fork truck experience
  • Standup order picker experience
  • Good troubleshooting, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions

The Bindery Floor Coordinator delivers all materials needed to all bindery equipment to assure continuous operation. The Floor Coordinator works closely with the Machine Operators, Department Supervisors and the Scheduling/Purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of materials.

*Full-time position is available: 1st shift (7am – 3pm)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Check the schedule for the next job(s), get the ticket (double-checking in Logic to ensure you have the most recent version) to read and understand its entirety.
• Only pull the jobs into the staging areas that have all components completed and boxing materials available.
• Pull job jackets for the entire job to the machine, cover, text and label.
• Pull all boxes needed for the job.
• Ensure that all pulled components of each job are in the proper position, organized and grouped together in the assigned areas.
• Pull all completed press sheets to proper bindery equipment (folders, cutters, and laminator) or staging area ensuring that the quality is checked prior to staging them.
• Check and pull all necessary components to the shipping department for processing.
• Pull all boards needed for the job to the case maker prior to previous job finishing.
• Ensure all miscellaneous supplies are pulled and available for operators (glue, wire, string, lamination, etc).
• Communicate to the floor supervisor indicating what has been staged at each machine.
• When jobs are ready to be stored in the warehouse move them to the signature shelves. Make sure recording in the Locator System is current and accurate in the computer.
• As instructed by supervisor, assist in hand bindery operations as needed to aid in continuous operation.
